Weirdest Complaint Ever

(In this scene you will focus at Toothless and totally blocked out of Hiccup's babble. Hiccup the engineer, ahoy!)
Photobucket
It is said that non-verbal cues hold 60 to 70 percent of communication effectiveness. I guess it is true... or partially true, because things like that keep happening nowadays ._.

me: "May I ask something that completely unrelated?"
friend 1: "Sure, shoot away."
me: "How do you buy those drinks? I know you ask the cashier to get the cups... but, what do you say to the cashier to get the cups?"
friend 1: *pause in the middle of drinking through straw*
friend 2: "Why do you have to do that?!" *pull friend 1's hijab*
me: "Huh?"
friend 2: "You looks so cuuuute" *squeal like a fangirl*
me: *pull attention to friend 1* "So... how do you get it?"
friend 1: "...Can you repeat the question?"
me: "..."

me: "-but unfortunately, I forgot to bring my cellphone today... so in case you need me, I'll be in west campus center, trying to finish the RBL project. Buhbyee~"
*walk away*
*pause*
me: "Do you copy?"
friend 3: "Nope." *pinch my cheek*

friend 4: "Being hostile to each other is definitely counterproductive, right? So I said sorry first, even though I still feel it was not entirely my fault."
"But you know what she said? 'You should think first before comment on something' Can you believe that?"
me: "I've been in similar situation too" *went rambling about the subject with active gestures*
friend 4: *stop scowling and proceed to smile unconsciously*
me: *notice the change of expression*
"...Is there something wrong?"
friend 4: "Nuyu... you looks so cute."
me: "Am I ?" *annoyed glare*
friend 4: "...Sorry. But yeah, I agree with you... that was kind of harsh of her."

(shooting photos for Buku Kenalan in front of class)
me: "Sooo what do I have to do now?"
friend 5: "You strike a pose for each photo... one normal pose, one looks happy, and one for natural look."
me: "Pose a natural look?"
friend 5: "You don't. I will capture that randomly at will.
me: *dramatic gasp*
friend 5: "Okay, we're starting now... 3 2 1"
me: *do a composed pose*
friend 5: "Phase 2..."
me: *put one month worth of happiness in an expression*
*some people go inside the class and then pause when they see me*
me: *nervous* "...Is my face looks weird?"
someone I don't know: *astonished* "You looked cute..."
me: "Thanks?"

And... there's countless case of my friends blanked out when I chat animatedly about whatever. While I am grateful that I was considered aesthetically pleasing (narcissism? Yeah I need it for confidence in public... jk), I feel annoyed when people fail to see the content of what I'm saying or trying to do.

The Fai's Guide to Smooth Talk People

[Fai adalah penanggung jawab unit teater 2012. Mohon yang di bawah ini diaplikasikan dengan baik XD]

1. Kalau mau orang setuju, akhiri pertanyaan dengan "ya".
Contoh: "Lo mau jadi yang ngurus make-up, ya?"

2. Kalau mau tegas, akhiri pertanyaan dengan "gak".
Contoh: "Masih mau ikut STEMA gak? Kalau masih, besok dateng jam empat sore di KBL."

3. Kalau maksa orang jangan pake keduanya.
Contoh kejadian (by phone):
"Aya, lo jadi sutradara"
...
"Lah, salah sendiri lo gak dateng. Job laen udah penuh sama orang di sini."
*bunyi ribut protes*
"Coba kalau lo dateng, pasti hasilnya gak jadi gini."
*krusuk-krusuk*
"Oh ada kok, lagi ke WC" <--padahal orang yang ditanyaain gak dateng
"Iya, lo kalau mau tukeran, tanya aja orangnya."
..."Gue jadi pimprod. Mau tukeran?"
...
*senyum penuh arti* "Eh ini bukan kejahatan gue, ini kejahatan kelompok."
(ini yang dateng rapat melotot semua)
"Ah... kok jawabnya cuma satu kata, bosen kan bilang jahat doang?"
*!!!*
"Oh, jadi nambah satu kata... kejam."
...
"Iya... Ya... Siaaap"
...*tutup telepon*
"Noh kan dia bilang "Iya deh". Cuma jual mahal, apa tadi gue bilang, udah hapal."

(Kejadian bonus)
"Van, sekarang tinggal lo yang milih: Danus, lighting atau tata panggung?"
"Gue mau jadi bendahara aja deh."
"Gak ada bendahara, adanya danus." <--orang-orang kayaknya udah alergi sama kata ini
"Gak mau! Itu jadi urusannya si Abdi aja."
"Ya, jadi bendahara kan ngebantuin Abdi juga"
*dapet telepon dari Aya*
"Halo?"
...
"Oh iya, ntar ada pengarahan dulu kok. Eh lo butuh pembantu gak?"
..."Di samping gue? Ini ada si Ivan."
(Ivan bermuka masam)
"Emmm... dia masih nganggur nih."
...
"Ok, sip"
*putus telepon*
"Van, ntar kalau Aya minta pendapat dibantu ya..."

(beberapa saat kemudian Fai dapet BBM)
'Fai, gue jadi bendahara bisa gak?'
"Gak ada bendahara, adanya da--"
*backspace*
"adanya keuangan."

Back to Square One

You see, I still have a soft spot for animated, kiddies-stuff... Thought I got rid of it 2 years ago, but noooo... it all came back to me and slapped my face harder than you think. Guess it is what make myself me, huh? Cannot be disposed nor replaced by random trend of the year.

*snicker* Dreamworks' Jack Frost reminded me of Danny Phantom so much
(and thus the paragraph above is written ala Fenton's retelling).
Never seen him before? Well, he is from a movie that hasn't come out yet, Rise of the Guardians. The first screen is on November 21st, but actually, he has been around since 2009... kicking as witty character in comic strips and design notes. Wonder if he turned out emo on screen... his misery will be fun to watch, people! *thrown out of chair*

I started watching Green Lantern yesterday...
It makes me curious about 3D animation and Computer Graphic.
This show's given lot of thoughts, don't judge before you watch it. It's awesome! (Here's a bit about 3D boarding. I suggest you to right click --> new tab to see pictures.)
