Seserius itu?

Barusan saya berhasil curhat ke dosen wali mengenai kegalauan studio kemarin... intinya sih saya jadi gak pede desain gara-gara clash terus masalah estetika sama dosen pembimbing. Feelingnya jadi kacau, gak bisa ambil kesimpulan mana yang bagus, mana yang jelek.
Ehhh, ternyata ibu yang dicurhatin juga punya pengalaman yang mirip-mirip.
Tadi beliau komentar sambil mengingat tragedi yang dialami oleh diri sendiri ._.
Kesimpulannya gimana?
Beliau menyarankan saya ambil sks wajib saja (15 sks) untuk semeseter depan.
Beri waktu untuk menghargai diri sendiri, katanya...
Jangan pikirin arsi sampai tanggal masuk kuliah, katanya...
BUSET DAH.
Orang lain mah ambis belajar software Bu, liburan ini...

So... I'm working with Abdur and Ramdhani right now... two of most time-effective students in my studio (imho). I tried to catch up with their pace, but lo-and-behold! ended up sick and burned out of my mind. Pffft. Whatever. This is certainly the most productive school break I've ever lived. turning to masochistic workaholic, somebody please help me.

"...Mangkok, ekskul seni rupa gitu."
"Loh, terus kenapa ga masuk FSRD aja?"
"...Emmm"
"Kak Nurul dulu mau masuk SR, Ki... tapi pilihan satunya FTI, pilihan duanya SAPPK."
"Alhamdulillah, Kakak ga masuk FTI."
"Iya, Alhamdulillah Kak."
"Kok 'Alhamdulillah'? kenapa gitu dengan FTI, saya gak pantes yah?"
"Kalau masuk FTI kan gak bisa masuk arsi..."
"Bener Kak, lebih bagus masuk SAPPK. Jadinya bisa belajar di arsi..."

Flowers to You, People

The first time I was given notice that holiday's just a name, I was like "Nooo, why meee? Where's my holidaayy?" But then... everything changed to "Nooo, why hiiim?!" or "Nooo, why herr?!" OR "Nooo, NOT THEM!" nowadays ._. After spending time in organizations, I just realized that I don't get that bad of workload. MANY people have much heavier responsibilities in this campus. Yes, very ashamed of being whiny before this point. Sorry... really really am sorry. I'm trying in my fullest capacity to stop being a ninja, please believe; I'll be your warrior of justice instead :*

First thing first... this is the source of agony in my post before this one.

Central committee of graduation parade... quite troublesome isn't it?

Well... mine is troublesome. Others' are... not so much.

It is in 'panic inducing' categories for other divisions.

For example Andre fighting tooth and nail for Warisan Swasta...

He has to gain about 20 million rupiahs in only a month ._.

There's also Hanifan... went through birocrazy to provide 29 3x3 m² flags for himpunan ...only to get bashed in coordination meeting yesterday. Ick.

Knowing that I can't be around for local graduation event, I was recruited in fund raising division.

So umm... there's new practice enforced in Penjenjangan: you have to bring one liter milk/juice if you come later than 15 minutes. Lot of people comes late everyday so... opportunity for business? I tracked milk provider to its manufacturer in Cimahi... and then ordered 2 dozens of carton milk delivered to home. Too bad, the milk truck never come until now (You can't buy milk on site, so, what I did is pretty much useless. At least now I know how supermarket works TAT).

Good thing, Lina my division leader got everything under control. She sells about 70 ice cream mochis per day... don't know about other sells (drinks and choco dipped fruits?)... she always come back and forth hourly with ice boxes. That's lot of things to handle for field committee in Penjenjangan. Wow.

In Penjenjangan itself... I am in event-managing division. What we do is connecting people, making rundowns and writing notes. Things that can be handled in background.

From background.... I see people got busy EVERYWHERE.

Yes... 2012 batch busy being senior for 2013, so... for my division, graduation decor, I recruited people from 2013. (Uh.. just realized I never take picture of them)

Who knows that they can be MUCH busier than 2012? There's committee training for OSKM, Osjur (department admission event), Open House Unit and KM (student body) activities for them!

^line of 2013 batch in training for OSKM; they have ton to do, maan... writing resume, journal, collecting their friends' signature and photos, preparing specification, daily assignment, standard boring stuff.

When I crossed architecture building two days ago around 7 pm, I met Issha, one of my division member.
She looked like ready to fall down any minute... but all she gotta say to me was how she wish to be able to help me in decoration ;_;
I knew pretty well that Penjenjangan's assignment was borderline sadist...
When I asked her how much sleep she had gotten the night before, she weakly smiled to me and said...
"Got it covered at 5 pm." TAT

There are actually many drama around the decor members... all of it was because clashing schedule..... but they still took a chance to help decor here and there...

For all of you, people... I just wanna say...

YOU ARE LOVED VERY DEARLY!! Thank you so much bro and sistah! >_<

Special mention:

You see, the committee of graduation parade are consisted by numbers of SMAN 2 Bandung graduates... topics like 'back in high school' was inevitable when we gathered, then. They even brought the topic to internal meeting, in front of the rest of committee members. To be honest, this weirded me out; like one world was thrown to another, carelessly. They also keeps mentioning Agent M and Agent A's names to me. (Example: "Still in contact with M?" "Yea, just chatted with her, yesterday." "How is she?" "Busy drawing Seine River and Louvre Museum.")

It floors me down with realization: I haven't do much for our comic project this holiday. orz. Sorry agents, saya tepar.

End of Semester 4

So holiday is starting and I started to make list of what I wanted supposed to do in free time.
BUT SUDDENLY
"Hey Nurul, are you busy June to July?"
If you asked whether I am busy or not, the answer would be...
"No, not really..."
Then they shoved responsibilities down my throat.
...
News flash, people! Free time is needed to maintain sanity...
Especially if you usually burn to crisp by academic routine.
Why the hell am I tangled in KM ITB matters when I already have PJJGN to take care of?

I'm guessing our division leaders were not sleeping properly for at least...
two weeks. How the heck did they function yesterday?!

...Even the evaluation went on like this:
2012: "We're very sorry... this is the best we can do."
2011: "We have watched you struggle this week...
Don't worry, you've done great."
2010: "We are coming from different generation. How can we improve?"
2009: "We're truly happy for what you've done for us.
Please forgive our harsh comments."

Sugar, Spice, and Everything DIES!

Three weeks in architecture department and we got killing blows here and there. Hahahahahah... deadlines, deadlines everywhere... and no, this is not a form of complaining. This lifestyle is kind of fun, actually! Were this a storyline, we got a plot roller coaster here. Exposition, raising action, climax, falling action, resolution, rinse, and repeat. So many things to learn, so many things to discover. The catch? We got no time to actually read books! Puhahaha, currently developing new skills here: skimming through books and search engine... also, dealing with extracurricular activities???

Happy Day

Like I said before, July 9th is my birthday.
I've never mentioned it to college friends, so...
yesterday went by relatively in peace.
That, until Made shook my hand and calmly said
"It's your birthday, isn't it?"
Everyone around us stopped their activity.

Then, all hell broke loose.
Hand shakes, annual wishes, birthday songs,
teasings, free foods, modified chants, uproar.

For someone who always had a birthday in holiday,
this is a very surprising event. (an understatement)
Well yesterday we supposed to be in holiday too.
But assignment made us flock together for a long time.

We had to take pictures in places, so
100~ individuals traveled from campus to 6 spots in Bandung.
Ganesha Park to Dago Street to vacant lot below Pasupati
to railway station to Monumen Perjuangan to basecamp.
It was a refreshing trip...
No one put anyone in whachamacallit groups.
We were just having fun as one force called Baruna.

It was nice to be reminded that you're part of something.

Haha, I thought they just went along with Ayya's suggestion
to cheer and make commotion in public places =w=
But in afternoon Levi noticed me retreating.
"Be careful on your trip, birthday girl," he smiled
Huh, he regarded me.

In discussion about welcoming graduates, Baruna (Architecture 2012) was choosing concept from 3 alternatives:
A. traditional game;
B. local heroes fighting evil;
C. Ibu Pertiwi chasing away bad effect of globalization
A was scratched by vote, B was sacrificed in discussion, and C was sacrificed too not long after. So the winner is…?
“Local heroes saving Ibu Pertiwi from bad effect of globalization”
… just call it BC okay.

The next discussion is quite gruesome.
How are we going to carry out this theme?
“Can we just do theme BC with the fighting emphasis? We don’t need lot of symbolization in 5 minute show.”
“NO!” “Symbolization is what makes it different.”
Ah, they rejected my suggestion flatly… see? I’m not capable of this. 
Then suddenly theme D emerged!
“Searching Ibu Pertiwi in contest, how about that?”
“It’s not feasible,” “Too complex,” “We can’t insert dances there.”
 *tuned out discussion, thinking hard*

“…actually, we can do theme D.”
“How?”
*explaining with pace racing with memory deletion*
“Sorry, I don’t get it,” “Yeah, me too,”
“It needs spoken narration, we can’t have that.”
“We can tell the audience by gestures!”
“Are you sure it can be delivered?” “It’s still complex.”
“No,” I MEAN YES, I HATE YOU ANXIETY 
“…Never mind that, return to previous discussion please.” 
Then, I noticed that the discussion was hovering around the fighting theme.
DANGIT I am so done with discussion!

I felt someone poke my shoulder.
“Hey hey Nunu. I think there are too much people in this discussion. Maybe we should working on chants in procession?”
It led to most unexpected thing ever:
Ayya, Maya, Lina and I singing Minky Momo’s theme, to LoonyToon’s theme, to Wiro Sableng’s theme. For your information, this group was never found together before.

I guess become more talkative has its profit.
